Valentines and Food Allergies
Feb 03, 2023

Valentine's day is a Holiday where we take the opportunity to show our love and appreciation to our friends and family. Follow our tips below for an allergy-free holiday.

Plan ahead:

Know you and your loved one's allergy triggers to prepare for the holiday. Talk to your children’s school teacher about your child’s allergies and how to ensure a safe celebration for everyone.

Give out Allergy-free Gifts:

Nickel-free jewelry, hypoallergenic stuffed animals, and non-food treats are great ideas for your special valentine’s gift.

Check the Label:

Common allergens are milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, fish, shellfish, and sesame. Avoid foods processed in the same place as allergens to avoid cross-contamination.

Be Prepared:

Always carry two EpiPen injectors even if you don’t plan to eat, and teach your friends and family how to use them.
