2023 Tips to Stay in Control of Your Allergies This Year
Jan 01, 2023

With the new year starting, we want to help you gain better control of your allergies, hives, and asthma.

Here are some tips to make this new year’s resolution possible.

Set Goals:

Do you want to use less medication? Have more energy? Write a wish list of things you want to do and enjoy.

Review Your Treatment Plan:

Considering your established goals, lifestyle, and any barrier you might face, talk to your doctor about any concerns with your treatment.

Plan Ahead:

Clean air filters and dust regularly. Start treatment for seasonal allergies 3-4 weeks before your symptoms usually appear.

Ban Smoke:

People with asthma have a higher chance of hospitalization when exposed to smoke. Avoid smoking, secondhand smoke, campfires, and fireplaces.

Know Your Triggers:

Keep a journal on what foods, medications, or weather conditions trigger your flare-ups, and discuss them in your follow-up appointment.

See Your Allergist:

The beginning of the year is an excellent time to plan and set up new treatment plans if needed. You can schedule an appointment with one of our providers at 210 616 5385 or our online booking tool at staampallergy.com
