How to Take Care of Yourself During the Holidays
Dec 01, 2022

The holiday season is upon us, and we want you to enjoy this time with friends and family. With the weather changing to a colder season, it can be challenging to differentiate between the common cold, flu, COVID, or allergies. These are a few tips on how to take care of yourself during the holidays.

Understand Your Symptoms:

Allergy symptoms can involve runny nose, clear mucus, sneezing, eye itching, and watering. It might not be allergies if you have body aches, fever, or have been in contact with somebody positive for Flu/COVID.

Remove Allergy Triggers from Your Home:

Pet dander, dust mites, and molds cause allergy issues during winter since we spend more time indoors.

Fight Mountain Cedar Pollen:

December and January are the months where Mountain Cedar allergies peak. Keep the pollen out of your house by closing windows and changing air filters regularly. Wearing a hat and mask outside, as well as changing your clothes and shoes when you come inside, are also practical measures.

Get Vaccinated:

If you’re eligible for the COVID and Flu vaccines, you can get them simultaneously in your STAAMP clinic nearest you.
