6 Tips for an Allergen Free Thanksgiving
Nov 03, 2022

Thanksgiving is a beautiful holiday to spend with friends and family. Follow these tips for an Allergen-free gathering.

Be Prepared:

If you are hosting dinner, ask your guests if they have any food allergies, or let your host know if you have any food allergies.

Read all the Labels:

Some products may contain hidden allergens, read all the ingredients before using them.

Avoid Cross Contamination:

Keep food with allergens properly marked in different containers. Serve the plates of people with food allergies first to avoid touching other foods.

Know Your Substitutions:

Milk, egg, soy, peanuts, and tree nuts are some of the most common allergens during thanksgiving. You can substitute them for other options; just don't replace one allergen with another.

Be Safe:

If you’re unsure what will be served, carry your dinner and dessert plate with you. Remember to bring your two EpiPens with you.

Say Thanks:

Thanksgiving is an opportunity to be grateful for the people and things in our lives that are important to us.
