COPD
Oct 09, 2020

About the Condition:

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is characterized by persistent airflow limitation that is usually progressive and associated with an enhanced chronic inflammatory response, in the airways and the lung, to noxious particles or gases. While the disease course is marked by progressive deterioration in airflow it is punctuated by acute exacerbations of COPD (AECOPD) which contribute to the overall disease severity and which increase in frequency as the disease worsens. In addition to the increased risk of morbidity and mortality associated with COPD exacerbations, these events place a significant economic burden on healthcare systems which is predicted to increase with the increasing global disease prevalence.

Purpose of the Study:

The clinical research study is being conducted to learn more about chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and if study treatment with a study drug can or cannot improve your COPD or make someone with COPD feel better. We also would like to answer the following questions:

  • How safe is the study medication when used for the treatment of COPD?

Participant Info:

  • All qualified participants will be compensated up to $912 for your time and travel.

  • All medical examinations, physician visits, and medications will be provided to you at no cost.
